Steve Woods
Chief Guide and good guy
- Likely to be found:
- Highlands C2C, Bike Skills Lake District and sometimes exotic Cuba. Also enjoys raising his goats and dancing to Foo Fighters.
- What do you love most about Saddle Skedaddle?
- The people! I'm always struck by everyone's amazing enthusiasm and energy both for life and for cycling. It's a great community to be part of.
Dan Hirst
Yorkshire lad in Spanish disguise (aka Dan the bear)
- Likely to be found:
- Coordinating siestas at our Skedaddle Espana base in the coastal town of Tarifa. Also often found out blazing the trails on some of our best-loved tours across Spain's dramatic landscapes.
- Which is your favourite trip and why?
- My stock answer is always 'the one I'm on' as time is precious and being on a bike in the hills is always an invigorating and sensory experience, even if you ride down a road you drive down every day. The sounds, smells and sights are all different.
Hannah Reynolds
Guide, freelance cycling writer and general wonder woman
- Likely to be found:
- On an array of French road cycling trips as well as jetting off to sample some of the world's best road routes.
- Best piece of pre-trip advice?
- Spend some time on your bike! For most cycling holidays specific training isn't necessary however ensuring the daily distances are well within your capabilities will mean that you remain fresh enough to enjoy the stunning scenery. For more insightful expert thoughts from Hannah click here.
Naomi Lindfield
Long legs Lindfield heads up our charming Italian team
- Likely to be found:
- On the alluring island of Sardinia, Naomi's native home (lucky her!) and the base of our Italian HQ.
- What got you passionate about pedallin'?
- Bikes have always been part of my life and gave me a sense of freedom since I was a small child riding my wee bike around the Sardinian countryside. I cherished my bike more than any doll! When on a bike immersed in a country, you are in direct contact with nature, people, cultures, events and these are what enriched my life the most.
Rakitha Jayawickrama
Top chef and local safari expert
- Likely to be found:
- Guiding our amazing 2-week adventure in Sri Lanka
- Any great tales from your tours?
- I started guiding for Skedaddle in 2017. I was used to smaller groups and it was a bit of a challenge handling my first group. But Skedaddle guests are always fun and relaxed and quite easy to handle. It’s always fun to stop and get people to try new food on the way and see their faces as they eat it.
Ernesto Palm
Musically minded and mad about bikes
- Likely found:
- Guiding our epic range of adventures in Chile
- Tell us about your history with Skedaddle?
- 15 years ago I moved from Santiago to Puerto Varas in the south of Chile for a change of life, and 13 years ago I started my own company Puelo Adventure, first only with bike rental and ready to learn everything about cycling tours. I was looking for possible partnerships for more development for holidays and I found the Skedaddle website with a Chile/Argentina trip on it! I sent an email saying hello and the rest, as they say, is history...
