What places Skedaddle guides and tour leaders head and shoulders above the competition is their focus on providing a great cycling experience and excellent customer service. They'll be on hand to help you set your bikes up and pack them down, can provide insightful riding technique and will generally keep you motivated and having fun en route.
Carefully Selected Accommodation
Accommodation on our Skedaddle tours varies in style, dependant on destination. We'll hand-select options that allow you to get the best out of each place you visit, giving access to the best routes possible. This means on occasion you may stay in a fancy French chateau and on others you could encounter a more rustic overnight stay. Ultimately, each aims to give a great flavour of the area you are visiting and a place to rest after a day in the saddle.
Support Van
At strategic points, you have the security of our dedicated support vehicle. In the van there will be some space for tired cyclists, allowing the chance of a well-earned break, if needed. You will also be able to leave extra layers or spare kit here during the day, meaning there is no need to carry any equipment other than what you would carry on a normal day ride. When needed, our van is also on hand to offer essential mechanical support too.
Legendary Lunches
Sampling the best local food and drink is an essential part of any Skedaddle holiday! Often lunch comes served up as part of a buffet of fresh local treats, often accompanied with a knockout view and some much-needed shade. Alternatively, we may eat at local restaurants or cafes. You'll also enjoy timely stops with snacks provided to keep you fuelled throughout the day.
Luggage Transfers
We want you to fully enjoy your ride and a big part of that is not having to worry about carrying your luggage from place to place! With that in mind, our local teams will work behind the scenes to ensure your luggage makes its way to each hotel, ready for you when you arrive at your new destination at the end of the day.
Airport Transfers
Whilst we'll expect you to make your own way to your chosen destination, on most trips our local teams will be on hand to pick you up from the airport and drop you back off at the end of your tour. So, no need to struggle with the local language when you arrive or negotiate the best taxi price! (Only available on scheduled arrival and departure days/times).
Navigation Assistance
Our local teams have researched the best cycle routes possible. On guided tours our guides and tour leaders will be on hand at all times to assist with navigation. For selected trips GPX files may be available on request.
Emergency Support
You can rest assured you're in the best hands possible when you join us on a Skedaddle tour! In the event of serious problems or mishaps, we have a 24/7 emergency phone manned by capable staff ready to assist no matter how serious the problem or situation.
